I am going to use a bunch of websites i found and add some of my own tactics later. Please post if you have a good strategy that works during our games. The first group will be from Airsoft-Tactics.info

1. Cover fire involves sending a hail of bbs in the general direction of your enemy so that your teammates can move. This usually works quite well.

2. Make sure that you communicate with your other teammates. This is an essential part of the game and can be done via radio transmissions (the best way to communicate), hand signals or verbal dialog. Herein lies your opportunity to ensure that everyone knows about enemy positions, remaining enemies, eliminated enemies and any other valuable information.

3. You need to be very patient whenever you play this game. This way you are able to learn everything that there is to know about your friends and foes, as well as everything else that you can conceivably be aware of, such as wind, smell, noise and shapes. All of this can either kill you or keep you alive.

4. It is important that you keep moving. Staying in one spot, regardless of how good the cover is, will cause you to be flanked and shot. Speaking of which, whenever you have a good shot, take your time and make it count since good shots do not come along too often. You may have to seek out such a shot. This is another reason why you need to keep moving: to create the perfect situation. Whenever you are moving, make sure that you are not predictable though.

5. Whenever you are on patrol you need to make sure that you pay attention to the littlest of details. These are the things that can easily give away your enemies' details. For instance, if you see an animal[our horses] running away from somewhere, then more than likely someone frightened it and thus you should be on your guard. Of course, you do not want to over-interpret various natural signs but if you do happen to see something that blatantly signifies the presence of an enemy, then you should definitely be on the lookout.

6. If it is possible, you should always watch your enemies' head whenever you are engaging in a fire-fight. More than likely he will give away his movement so that you will be able to tell where the next place that he will take cover is. This is done by the looks that he keeps giving in that general direction. Once you pick up on this, proceed to aim there, then when he gets there you can shoot him in the shoulder quite easily.

Airsoft Tactics Thread Empty Airsoft Shooting Tactics

Post  Admin Wed Mar 16, 2011 12:09 pm

There are a lot of Airsoft players who think that they can become better players simply by upgrading their weapons. However, what these players really need to do is develop their shooting skills so that they can more reliably hit a target.

The first thing that you should work on is your grip. Here it is very important to have your hand as high up on the grip as possible. You also need to have your middle finger up as high into the trigger guard as possible and the web of your hand up high as possible onto the rear of the grip. This will give you a lot more control when it comes to aiming and recoiling regardless as to what type of a gun, pistol, SMG, rifle or shotgun you are using. Of course, pistols are the weapons that are the most affected by your grip.

Now that you have your grip down, you need to ensure that you are squeezing the trigger with the fingerprint area of your finger and never with your joint area. This is important because if you use your joint to pull the trigger, then it will jerk the trigger and mess up your sight picture. Once you have this positioning down, you should slowly squeeze the trigger until you are able to successfully do so in 1 smooth movement without moving the gun. This is especially important if you are using a pistol or if you are an airsoft sniper.

Once you have all of this done, it is time to work on shooting your gun. You should keep your eye on a small area and aim at it. Herein you do not want to aim for the entire target, instead simply focus upon hitting only the bull's eye. Otherwise you will more than likely miss the entire target.

Here are some safety tips that you should always keep in mind:

Never point your gun at any person or animal.

Never look down the barrel of your gun.

Never fire your gun in a public place.

Only use your gun where you have permission to shoot it at.

Do not fire your gun without the magazine inserted.

Make sure that you turn off the safety catch before you pull the trigger.

Always treat your gun as though it were loaded.

Never attempt to dismantle your gun. Not only would this void your gun's warranty but it can also be dangerous.

Never leave your gun unattended and make sure to keep it out of the reach of everyone except for yourself.

Always wear protective goggles or a face mask whenever you are shooting.

Take good care of your gun.

The avid fans of airsoft sports have a choice of their own. With a number of models now days available at their disposal, the airsoft lovers still prefer shotguns above all. Airsoft Shotguns Tactics continues to be hot favorite of the aficionados. It could be because of their portrayal in the Hollywood action movies. These guns take out a darker side of ours. It always pictures as a tough man’s weapon and that is why it is so much popular amongst users.

Market holds a plethora of shotgun ranges for its fans. One can choose from a wide variety of old and reliable shotguns to the new age fully automatic and stylish airsoft shotgun available. The gas-powered model is manufactured as double barrel and this is the sole type available in this category. One of the most popular models is spring powered old pump style model. These give you an advantage to fire multiple shots in succession. The reason behind Airsoft Shotgun Tactics to be in vogue is that military uses same style for real weapon fighting against enemy.

You can also choose from the other available models like that of full stock or cut away models of these airsoft guns. The cut away style is more handy and comfortable, as it does not have a stock to rest on your shoulder. But what appeals to you is more important than the wide variety of airsoft shotgun tactics available in the market. Your shooting style and comfort level should guide you through the process of buying a suitable shotgun for yourself.

The pump action model, though spring powered allows you to remain in action even at the time if shooting. You can rapidly reload your gun and get back to shooting unlike the model where you have to reload the cock to get started all over again. Airsoft shotguns are more suited to close quarter games.

Apart from having a perfect shooting weapon for you, one more thing, which you need to take care of, is your Airsoft Shotgun Tactics. The main thing you should work upon is the grip of your weapon. One must have a fast hold of the gun to avert reconciliation effect. Always press the trigger with your fingerprint area of the fingers and never by the joint area. Using your joint for squeezing the trigger will give it a jerk and it will interfere with your sight picture.

When you are done with all these things the next Airsoft shotgun tactic to be followed is to keep an eye only on the target. You have to focus to hit the bull’s eye rather than aiming for whole of the object. There are some other Airsoft Shotgun Tactics also which should be taken care of like never looking down the barrel of the gun or firing without a magazine inserted in it. One should take proper care of his gun and should follow proper safety measures to avoid any unwanted accidents.

Airsoft Tactics Thread Empty Airsoft Sniper Tactics

Post  Admin Wed Mar 16, 2011 12:12 pm

When shooting airsoft guns in competition or in airsoft gun games it is important to have an efficient airsoft rifle or handgun, teamwork, a tactical plan, and to know how to use your surroundings as cover. If you are skilled and proficient in all those areas, it won’t matter if you can’t shoot and hit your target. For the airsoft sniper, accurate and skilled shooting is even more important.

To be an airsoft sniper, first you have to have consistency in your accuracy. When developing your airsoft shooting skills, try not to practice with an audience. You don’t want word of your skills to spread out on the field or among opposing team members. Airsoft shooting kills can be developed in the following ways:

Practice on still targets
Shoot at moving targets
Create sniper scenarios with team mates
Participate in airsoft games
Compete in airsoft competitions
Airsoft Sniper Tactic Skills
Anonymity - when shooting in an airsoft game or competition the practice should be used to learn the game and learn the opposing team. Keep the sniper skill shooting practice as private as possible. A tactic of an effective airsoft sniper is to not let anyone from other teams to know you are the sniper. Once you have been exposed as the team sniper, you will be targeted and no longer as effective. Always have a back up sniper to step in when that happens.

Communicate - an airsoft sniper is part of the airsoft gun team. Communication is not only a successful airsoft sniper tactic; it is essential to the type of teamwork that is required to take the field from the opposing team. Be sure signals are clear and should be rehearsed often so that the signal only be up a split second before acknowledged. This will give the opposing team less opportunity to recognize and learn the signals. Proper communication on location destination and estimated time will help prevent being shot by “friendly fire” AKA-your own teammates.

Shoot under skill level - let the opposing team under-estimate the airsoft sniper’s skills. This tactic will assure the airsoft snipers’ identity is not revealed. While another sharp shooter on the team distracts the opposing airsoft gun team, the true sniper can go undetected to successfully infiltrate the enemy line.

Lone sniper or sniper team - a single airsoft gun shooter is less likely to be detected than a sniper team moving together. A team of snipers are rarely penetrated if they can go undetected long enough. A team has larger firepower that is effective in many airsoft gun games. Either airsoft sniper tactic can be effective and successful. Both tactics can be alternated depending on field, team members, and opposing team variables.

Camouflage - proper camouflage clothing will help an airsoft sniper move on the field without being detected by the opposing team. This will allow the shooter to get closer. This tactic will increase the accuracy of the shot because the airsoft sniper is closer to the target.

Whatever airsoft sniper tactics are being used be sure to work as a team and use your skills wisely to have the airsoft sniper tactics be most successful.

Airsoft Tactics Thread Empty Airsoft Movement Tactics ~ very Important

Post  Admin Wed Mar 16, 2011 12:12 pm

Airsoft not only requires mental strategy but it also requires you to crawl, run and lug around heavy armaments with you. Therefore, it should be no wonder that most serious Airsoft players have plenty of scars. This is how players learn to be more conscientious.

One thing that can be very helpful here is setting up a bunker that you can duck behind. You can then pop up and shoot a target as fast as you can every once in a while. Herein you will become less vulnerable as long as you pick a different spot of the bunker to come out of every time. This will also increase your spontaneity so that it will become harder and harder to get a clean shot on you.

Another thing that you should master is the shooting and running, especially if you plan to be a part of an assault team. Herein you will want to be able to run forward at targets and try to get as many of them as possible while doing so.

Here are some other tips that will help you with your movement in an Airsoft game:

It is a good idea to practice diving for cover. Of course, you will not want to make this movement if there are thorns, sharp sticks or rocks in this area.
You will need to be aware of not only yourself but of everything and everyone around you as well. This is a crucial part of survival.
Always aim where you are looking.
Make sure that you cover your own lane of fire. You do not need to watch someone else's lane of fire. Let them to their job while you do yours.
If you are alone, you should keep moving from angle to angle (left side to right side).
You should never enter into a "low mobility" position unless your angle is great and your cover is amazing.
You do not want to let your adrenaline take over and cause you to move too fast. It is important to be quick yet effective.
Most of the time you will not have your enemy directly facing you. However, if this should happen, then immediately drop to a prone stance. It will be difficult to hit you with a hop up if you are laying on the floor.

~~~Of course, these are just some of the many tips that exist when it comes to Airsoft Movement Tactics. The more you are able to learn, the better your game will become.~~~
Airsoft Tactics Thread Empty Airsoft Squad/Team Tactics
Post  Admin Wed Mar 16, 2011 12:16 pm
Whenever you are going to play on an Airsoft team, you will need to use tactics that are specific to the situation and that have been inspired by actual, modern military drills throughout history. Even though soldiers from 2,000 years ago may have used bows and arrows, the principles are still the same and thus they are able to transcend both time and location.
The first thing that you need to understand is that you can use the terrain to your advantage. If you should happen to find yourself on an equal playing field with the opposing team, then you need to make sure that you are positioned properly. This means having a clear escape route while keeping obstacles between you and your rivals. The logic here is that your rival will find it difficult to move forward and will be able to move to higher and safer ground if your weapons outrange theirs. Of course, you should also keep a good amount of cover between yourself and your rivals in order to reduce the possibility of being spotted.
Secondly, if you do any reading about Airsoft team tactics you will find that these sources will tell you that it is best to keep a low profile whenever you are playing this game. Herein you will want to keep both obstacles and cover between you and your enemy, make sure that you move quickly and silently and be certain that you always have the upper hand before you go into attack mode. In other words, it is a good idea to hit and run until all of your enemies are conquered. Most of the time, this is referred to as a "guerrilla style" offensive. This relies heavily upon the elements of concealment and surprise. Sometimes, this particular style lends itself best to the use of snipers who are able to hide out in trees or behind other types of covering and pick off members of the opposing team.
Third and finally, you can also use aggression. This is a new type of airsoft team tactics that has its roots in modern military practice. You will find that this will work best whenever you are outnumbered because this tactic involves rushing your opponents. If they prove themselves to be undisciplined, then they will become quite confused by this. You can then use this confusion to your advantage.
Regardless of which of these tactics you may choose to use, you will need to make sure that you have the right amount of firepower to carry it off. This means that you will also need to have the right guns...
Airsoft Tactics Thread Empty Airsoft Attacking and Defending Tactics
Post  Admin Wed Mar 16, 2011 12:19 pm
While looking like a bush and carrying up-to-date equipment will truly help your game, if you are in the wrong place you are not going to be any good to anyone. This is because it is just as important to be in the right place as it is to use the right equipment.
The first thing that you need to understand is that you are part of a team, so in order to win you need to work as a team and have good communication. This is why the most effective sniper is the one that does not think that they are one. You do not want to ever form a pattern or else others will be able to predict what you are going to do, as well as where and when you will do it.
It is a good idea to find out as much about the area that you are playing in as possible: the type of ground, vegetation, the other team's strengths and anything else that could be helpful. Once you have this basic information, make sure that your teammates also have this information so that they do not accidentally shoot you.
Attacking
Of course, you will also want to know as much as possible about what you are using, who is on your team and what they will be doing, as well as who you are attacking before you even think of attacking anything or anyone. Instead, you need to take all of this into account and work with your team to find a way in which to launch this attack. This depends upon what your objective is: to cover your teammates, taking out those who pose a threat to your team or storming the compound.
Defending
On the other hand, you will find that defense is harder because you are usually defending an object from being captured, not preventing a person from being shot. Herein you will need to work from somewhere that gives you cover while still allowing you to be able to defend the object. This is why many people find this to be the hardest form of skirmishing.
Sometimes it is easier to simply allow the sniper to defend an object. The second easiest thing to do is set up ambushes, which is actually very helpful for snipers. Other ways to help the sniper is by sending out a roving patrol and counting how many people there are on the other team. Any of this information that you can provide for the sniper will truly help them to be better equipped to do their job. Therefore, if you are a part of the patrol, then you should know that you have an important job in helping the sniper. Herein you want to use the element of surprise to your advantage, be sure to attack from many different angles and while they are on the attack.
Remember to think as though you were at war with this other team. After all, that is what this game is all about.
